Smartways Logistics are helping to bring more comfort to children with cancer this Bear Giving Day

For children facing cancer treatment, a fluffy friend can bring comfort during unfamiliar and sometimes frightening moments.
Smartways Logistics has been supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project’s bear program since 2018, delivering bears generously donated by our supporters to hospitals across Australia.
This year, in support of Bear Giving Day, Smartways is helping make this impact go even further by generously matching these donations, helping us deliver more bears to children in hospital while funding more vital childhood cancer research.
Delivering more than just a teddy bear
For a child in hospital, a bear can become a comforting friend in an unfamiliar place. At the same time, every donation helps fund research working towards better treatments and outcomes for children with cancer.
We’ve got a privileged position in providing a specialist logistics service to the healthcare industry, but that comes with responsibility too. It’s important that we give back and help worthy causes where we can, and The Kids’ Cancer Project’s bear program and our existing services to and from hospitals were a perfect match!
