Yes. Your loved ones always come first. Many people choose to leave a gift after they’ve provided for family and friends, often as a percentage of what remains. Even a small gift can have a meaningful impact.
You can choose what works best for you. This might be a specific amount, a percentage of your estate (known as a residual gift), or particular assets such as shares or property.
A bequest is simply another word for a gift left in a Will. It means choosing to leave something you own (such as money, assets, or a portion of your estate) to a person or organisation.
