The Kids’ Cancer Project was proud to celebrate its charity partnership with the NSW Swifts with the annual charity match taking place on Sunday 22 March to help promote the work of the charity and its ongoing impact within the community.

In a historic double header at Qudos Bank Arena, a sold-out crowd of 13,462 bore witness to a last gasp win for the Swifts thanks to a last-minute goal from veteran Helen Housby.

The Kids’ Cancer Project were on hand outside the arena before the match, spraying hair in the same colours as the Swifts and giving attendees the chance to meet our famous Oscar Bear mascot.

In the corporate lounge, The Kids’ Cancer Project childhood cancer ambassador Ash Thomas detailed her ordeal with osteosarcoma to a range of sponsors and special guestswhile The Kids’ Cancer Project CEO Owen Finegan addressed the crowd at half time.

Finegan says he is grateful to the Swifts and their legion of fans for their ongoing support.

The Kids' Cancer Project is so proud of the partnership it has forged with Netball NSW and by extension the NSW Swifts.

Not only was it a fantastic day out for the Swifts and their fans, but it provided us with a platform to raise awareness regarding our mission and determination to reach a 100% survival rate with no long-term effects for kids with cancer.

The Kids' Cancer Project CEO, Owen Finegan, addresses the crowd.
