In FY28, The Kids’ Cancer Project is investing $2.70 million over three years in seven Col Reynolds Fellowships, supporting talented Australian researchers, clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals working to improve outcomes for children and young people with cancer.
Established to invest in the people behind the science, the fellowships provide sustained support for researchers and health professionals to pursue important questions in childhood cancer and help build a stronger, more sustainable research workforce across Australia.
Through our growing alumni network, we're also building a community where researchers can connect, exchange ideas, share knowledge and collaborate across disciplines. Bringing people and ideas together creates opportunities for greater impact than any one research project or Fellowship could achieve on its own.
Building on this commitment, the FY28 Round will support researchers and health professionals at different stages of their careers through three Fellowship streams, helping strengthen the future of childhood cancer research and care.
Applications are submitted through SmartyGrantsin two stages:
Stage 1 – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Applicants submit an EOI outlining their research experience, career development goals, proposed research and indicative budget. A signed institutional endorsement letter is required.
Stage 2 – Full Application (by invitation)
Shortlisted applicants are invited to submit a detailed proposal for peer review.
All dates are Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) where a time is specified.
