The gift of a rose has always meant a lot – be it admiration, respect or a strong affection – but for The Kids’ Cancer Project, they take on an even deeper level of love.

Thanks to the generous donation of every rose by Palette de Flores at The Kids’ Cancer Project Long Lunches, 100% percent of proceeds given by guests in donating rose as part of the Luxe Draw are given towards funding life-changing research and increasing support for children with cancer.

The beautiful roses donated by attendees throughout the event symbolise hope and a promise to strive for a cancer-free futurewith Palette de Flores’ continued support and generosity allowing for even greater investment into vital research.

Located in Lane Cove, Palette de Flores celebrate each season with vibrant, thoughtfully curated arrangements sourced from local farmers and growers.

For the past two years running, the florist has donated over 150 roses and floral arrangements for our NSW Long Lunch events, with founder Angela Riano saying the gifts in kind made to The Kids’ Cancer Project help highlight her desire for impact.

Each rose we provide is not only a bloom of beauty, but also a way for the charity to raise vital funds during their events.

Knowing that something as simple as a flower can help contribute to lifesaving research and support for children with cancer has been deeply meaningful to us.

Angela was compelled to give a gift in kind to The Kids’ Cancer Project because of the burden placed on children with cancer and their families.

“This cause is close to my heart because I believe every child deserves the chance to live a healthy, full life,” she says.

“Cancer is a heavy burden for families to carry, and if through our work we can lighten that burden even a little, then our flowers have done their job.

“By donating roses for fundraising, we’ve seen firsthand how they create moments of joy while directly helping to support research that gives children and families hope for the future.”

Palette de Flores is one of many proud partners of The Kids’ Cancer Project who, much like Smartways Couriers and Goodman, provides support via in kind goods and pro-bono services the charity would otherwise need to purchase.

Angela says it’s a great way for businesses to show their support and contribute to the ongoing work of the charity as it builds towards a world where no child dies from cancer.

“I encourage other businesses and individuals to support The Kids’ Cancer Project in any way they can! It doesn’t always have to be financial—donating products, services, or prizes for fundraising can make a real difference,” she says.

“Every gesture, no matter the size, adds up to something powerful when we stand together for such an important cause

“We are proud to continue this journey with The Kids’ Cancer Project, and we look forward to finding new ways to help raise awareness and funds through the beauty of flowers.”
