That’s a wrap! After 31 days and 9,800 kilometres, The Science Project tour ended at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead on Friday 1 September.
In a fitting start to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Col and his team were welcomed by Dr Dalla-Pozza along with staff and precious patients. There wasn’t a dry eye as Col reaffirmed his commitment and belief, that science is the answer to kids’ cancer.

Thank you for standing up for kids with cancer.
On behalf of children with cancer, their families and supporters, thanks for signing the pledge to stand beside them while scientists search for better treatments and a cure. Government funding only stretches so far, we are so grateful for the thousands of Australians who pledged their support for medical research needed to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for children with cancer.
And thanks also to Fairfax Media for their incredible support throughout the month, particularly for the 8 page lift-out in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age on Wednesday, 4 October to acknowledge the more than 9,000 Australians who made the pledge.
