Bon Voyage Kokoda Trekkers

Bon Voyage Kokoda Trekkers Team head to Papua New Guinea to help kids with cancer.
In the early hours of this morning, eleven trekkers walking for The Kids’ Cancer Project departed Sydney Airport for Papua New Guinea and the Kokoda Trail.

All of the trekkers have been working hard on their fundraising before setting off raising over $85,000 and well on their way to their target of $150,000!

“The team have done an amazing job so far, but we all want to smash through to the $150,000,” said Owen Finegan, Chief Execuitve of The Kids’ Cancer Project, who is joining them in the challenge.

“There’s a healthy competition amongst us to raise as much as we can and it’s encouraging us to all get there,” said Owen.

Col Reynolds OAM, Founder and Director of The Kids’ Cancer Project was raring to go as they headed for the airport.

“Hours of training and preparation have been completed by all of us and I know we’re all eager to get out on the track; we’re doing this for the kids and I couldn’t be prouder of my team mates!” he said.

We wish Col, Owen, Leigh, Fiona, Felicity, Cathy, Nick, Kylee, Tricia, Karena and Anna bon voyage!
