World Youth Adventures is pleased to announce the Youth4Youth Challenge is on again and The Kids’ Cancer Project is thrilled to be their charity partner.
Youth4Youth Challenge is the only secondary school, team walking event designed to connect young people with the great outdoors.
“Through the Youth4Youth Challenge we hope to connect young people with the outdoors by introducing them to the delights and benefits of bushwalking through our amazing National Parks," said Sue Badyari, CEO of The World Expeditions Travel Group.
"We're also looking forward to raising funds to assist seriously ill children through the invaluable work of The Kids’ Cancer Project,” she said.
Now in its fourth year, the 20 kilometre walk gives thirteen to eighteen year olds the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research.
“This is an incredible opportunity for high school students to see how they can make an impact in medical research and show their peers in the wider community who are fighting cancer, that they care,” Owen Finegan, CEO of The Kids’ Cancer Project said.
"We are also delighted to welcome Alex La Rossa as our ambassador for this event," said Finegan.
"Alex courageously fought leukaemia and while he’s beaten his cancer; Alex is now living with some of the unfortunate side effects of his treatments.”

Alex is 17 years old and is currently completing year 11.
“The treatments for cancer are really harsh and leave life - long effects. I’m living proof," said Alex. "Research is looking into better treatments to change this. By challenging yourself and joining the walk you’ll be helping kids like me."

Alex has beaten cancer, but the side-effects of his treatment continue.
The Youth4Youth Challenge is on Sunday 11 September, 2016.
Being out and about in nature gives young people a desperately needed circuit breaker to the fast paced life of today, allowing time for reflection and an alignment towards what is real and enduring – the beauty of the natural world, the value of mateship and a glimpse of the heroic within us all.
Taking part in the Youth4Youth Challenge is a great first step for young people to realise these amazing things.
