The Kids’ Cancer Project Bear Program has been running since 2009 and in that time tonnes of teds have been donated anonymously to sick children in hospital to give them comfort when they’re lonely or worried about their treatment.

Proceeds of all bear sales go toward childhood cancer research to help the 950 Australian kids diagnosed with the disease every year.
 
A recent social media campaign promoting the bears prompted many families to comment and share their stories – every single one of them touched our hearts. Here are just a few to warm your cockles.
