The Great Aussie Golf Day

The Great Aussie Golf Day Don’t skip getting into the swing of our inaugural golf day.

A day on the links is a great way to get some exercise, entertain staff, network with clients and, in the case of The Great Aussie Golf Day, play for a purpose.

Aussie Industries has come on board as naming rights sponsor of The Kids’ Cancer Project’s inaugural golfing fundraiser, which will help raise much-needed funds to improve treatments for children diagnosed with cancer.

As host of the event, Owen Finegan, Australian Rugby great and the charity’s CEO, hopes to raise $20,000 that will go toward Associate Professor Alex Swarbrick’s scientific discovery of a new treatment for neuroblastoma.

“This is a cancer that affects small children and babies who have less than 50 per cent chance of surviving five years or more,” said Finegan.

“Science is the only solution for these kids, and our golf day stands to have a massive impact on helping them.”

The fun filled day will be held on Wednesday 3 April at St Michael’s Golf Club, a picturesque course atop the Little Bay peninsula with sweeping views of Botany Bay and the South Pacific. Fresh air anyone?

Starting at 7am you’ll be treated to a buffet breakfast with progressive on-course catering served for morning tea before driving your buggies back to the club at 1pm for a well-deserved BBQ lunch.
