Researchers have discovered they can switch off the gene with a new type of drug and are now testing different forms of this drug to determine the most effective.

Some of the new drugs being tested have proven to be extremely lethal to neuroblastoma cells alone, while others are extremely effective when combined with current chemotherapy treatments. Researchers will now work to better understand how the drugs work to kill neuroblastoma cells, with a view to move to preclinical trials in the next 12 months.
