Fast Automation has announced the company will partner with The Kids’ Cancer Project with an annual donation of $100,000 to support bold scientific research.

David Askew, Director of the control systems development company, was previously involved with the charity through community fundraising events that led him to become eager to help children with cancer in a more significant way.

“I was staggered by the devastating statistics surrounding childhood cancer, and equally impressed with the passion and commitment of The Kids’ Cancer Project in their mission to ensure that no child should die with this disease,” said Askew.

In a company newsletter, Askew praised his staff who work on some of the most challenging automation projects in the world for their success; putting the business in a financial position where they can give back.

“We are extremely proud to be able to assist this amazing charity. It's not enough these days to be in business just to make money - this helps us find that extra purpose to perform well,” he said.

CEO of The Kids’ Cancer Project, Owen Finegan, said he was grateful for the commitment of every corporate citizen who is inspired to ensure research continues to find kinder, more effective treatments for children with cancer.

“We welcome this solid commitment to childhood cancer research as part of Fast Automation’s desire to give back to the community,” he said.

“Our mission is to support bold science that will lead to the one hundred percent survival of all children diagnosed with the disease,” said Finegan.

“We’re looking forward to putting Fast Automation’s investment to work and reporting back on the impact their significant contribution has made.
