Write a Book in a Day Competition 2017

  • Write a Book in a Day is a unique and challenging team competition open to students in Years 5 to 12 as well as adult writing groups, with teams having only 12 hours to complete a book from start to finish

  • It is a particularly exciting initiative as it develops leadership skill, encourages teamwork and creative problem solving skills

  • It covers some key requirements of the official Australian Curriculum in fun way

Are you interested in giving a team of up to 10 students the opportunity to participate in Write a Book in a Day Competition?

Are you interested in helping teachers to encourage students to nurture their love of learning, love of books and love of writing?
Are you interested in helping to grow our future leaders?


  • Teams are made up of 5 to 10 members and your support would be providing up to 10 young learners with the opportunity to become “a writer, an illustrator, an editor or a proof-reader” for a day.

  • Your support would lead to books being written for children who are having treatment in hospitals

  • Your support would provide competition participants with the opportunity to win “bragging rights” as team in each division (Primary, Middle, Upper and Open) compete against others in their state for five awards: Books – Winner, Highly Commended and Commended, Best Illustrations and Highest Sponsorship.
