The jewel of Lake St Clair National Park

On this trek, you’ll be joining Professor Peter Gunning, the brilliant researcher who inspired the mission of The Kids’ Cancer Project and the charity’s founder, Col Reynolds OAM.

Together, you’ll explore the beauty, peace and exhilaration of Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain National Park for four days. Carrying only a back pack with your essentials, you’ll visit the Great Western Tiers, Mole Creek Karst National Park and Forth Valley. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to summit Mount Roland and stunning Cradle Mountain itself.

"The trail truly reflected the inscription etched in the memorial at the cemetery, ‘ENDURANCE, MATESHIP, COURAGE and SACRIFICE’. I have made lifelong friends and am immensely proud to say that I have walked the Kokoda for kids and their families as they fight childhood cancer."
Fiona

Right now, we are funding 15 world-class research projects. Some of these projects include developing new drugs tailored to an individual child’s condition so that we can reduce, if not avoid, harmful side effects and improve their treatment; scholarships to support the career development of the most promising childhood cancer researchers; and clinical trials for some of the hardest to treat kids’ cancer types. Click here for full details on the research projects we fund.
